New York post punk outfit The Down and Outs are back with 'Last Party On Duke Street' their first release since their self titled EP back in 2019. the track is 3 minutes of monstrous, sophisticated and coherent chaos on their most mature song yet.
In a time where live music is a dreamlike memory, 'Last Party On Duke Street' will leave you tasting the heat and sweat of the mosh pit, as gritty vocals and screeching guitars march through the song, causing an inevitable head bang.

Despite the apparent chaos of the song, it has a sense of maturity to it. The Down and Outs have made a statement here, the song has emotion in the lyrics conveyed with straining vocals. With the maturity of Gang Of Four or The Buzzcocks and the energy of Idles or Squid, 'Last Party On Duke Street' is a perfect blend of disorder and coherency.
The Down and Outs are marching to the beat of their own drum, and they're certainly not slowing down yet.

'Last Party On Duke Street' by The Down and Outs is out Friday 16th of April.
