Peter Barrington - Upcoming artist of the Week!

This week’s upcoming band of the week is 17 year old loveable solo artist Peter Barrington. Peter’s music is melodic, dreamy pop that will make it feel like a warm summer evening wherever you are. Bedroom Pop is a genre that’s grown massively in recent years, with teenagers able to record their own music and upload it to the world, with artists like Clairo and Rex Orange County some of the more famous names, who started, just like Peter, uploading their songs label free from their homes. Taking influence from Loyle Carner and Tom Misch, Barrington replicates Misch’s smooth vocals, and Carner’s old school jazzy beats alongside his own signature twinkling piano, makes an excellent mix. Barrington’s biggest song, Haiti, in which he dreams of a ‘spontaneous trip to Haiti’ is a beautiful love song sounding as good as Tom Misch’s ‘Movie’ or Rex Orange County’s ‘Sunflower’.
